A Trip Back To England

My husband and I had been planning our visit back to England for some time. The reason, our sons wedding. This visit we would be spending in the South of England and so we flew into Heathrow Airport, little did we know that this was the busiest weekend in the holiday calendar and the weather? well, typically British, in other words rain, rain and rain.

Not to  be deterred we ventured forward in our hire car, heading for Devon. Where exactly? Ford, Nr Chippenham, Wiltshire.

The White Hart We spent our first night here, a rustic, eclectic pub/hotel.

Castle-Combe Stunning views and so close to the Cotswolds’ and  Castle Coombe,  so picturesque, quaint and full of history. An absolute must for tourists or visitors and the perfect backdrop before we travelled further to Ilfracombe, where the wedding would take place.

The Elmfield holiday house was our home for the next 3 days and nights.

A quick walk into Ilfracombe to check out the wedding venue.

The stunning bride wore a full length Cream Lace dress with a slight train. The back of the dress was simply beautiful, a plunging V culminating in a satin bow tied at the waist. A cream silk flower band adorned her Rapunzel flowing hair. The Bridegroom looking very dapper in a Blue ‘Mod’ style suit with skinny tie. His watch chain was a gift from his bride.

A beautiful ceremony – they smiled and giggled their way through it. Tears? there were a few!

What a gorgeous wedding! Thank you for letting me travel vicariously with you to England. I got to see some sites in my pajamas and without getting rained on!
